Ammon Turns Two

Yesterday we celebrated two years of parenthood, aka Ammon's second birthday! It was perfect.

We started our morning with toaster waffles and Mickey Mouse and then putting Tyson down for a nap so that I could take him to the neighbors trampoline. Our neighbor has a whole bunch of grandchildren which means a lot of bikes, scooters, push cars, an underground trampoline, and a playground with a swing set. He was in 2 year old heaven. After getting worn out there, we headed home in hopes I could get him down for a nap before his party.

I don't know if he ever napped, but he was in his room for at least 2 hours and he wasn't crying, so it gave me time to clean and get things ready!

I made homemade BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. They were heavenly! You can find the recipe here.

I also made a homemade cheesecake berry fruit salad that was to die for in my own personal opinion. That recipe is here.

This cake was homemade by my cousin Sophie! It was super delicious, looked amazing, and Ammon was obsessed!

My sister and I spent some time on this display of Ammon. I'm excited to put it to use when we move to our new home.

Over all, Ammon had a great time, swimming, playing on the slip n slide, and playing with all of his little buddies. Special thanks to Camisha Moran for taking most of these pictures and everyone who came to celebrate Ammon's birthday. He's such a special soul and I can't imagine my life without him. Happy Birthday buddy!

I Love to See the Temple // Raleigh NC

We had an incredible experience visiting the small temple of Raleigh. Leka totally thought it was a stake center when we passed it- and yes, we totally passed it when trying to find it. Regardless of its size, it has tremendous beauty. Being the closest temple to Charlotte, I was a little bummed that we didn't actually get to go inside, but just walking around the grounds gave me a peaceful feeling and my babies loved to explore. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive.

All pictures are my original work and taken with an iPhone 6s.
